Rainy and grey Tuesday! Please come back sun! Been so lovely the last few days… Maybe it’s a blessing in disguise, it’ll will keep me indoors which means I can try and get some packing done!!😜
I only tried this a couple weeks ago for the first time and I wish I’d tried it sooner!! So tasty and healthy! I tried it in a cafe the first time but buying the bits to make it at home is so much cheaper! And it’s a lovely morning drink 😇
I don’t have an exact recipe for this as I just chucked in a bit of every thing. I used about an inch of ginger, couple slices of lemon, 2 sticks cinnamon, few leaves of mint and as I love a bit of sweetness I added a tsp sugar. Add everything to boiling water! Feel free to add whatever sweetener you like or just leave it out.
Happy hump day!! Half way through the working week! I just managed to put my lil Winsy down for a nap on the bed! Usually in the day she will only nap if I put her in the baby carrier or if I take her for a walk! So this is good progress!! Let’s see how long until she wakes up and realises I’m not there!!😂
As mentioned before I have started drinking protein shakes every day as it’s a quick easy way to get more calories. I don’t have much time to sort out nutritious meals 3 times a day for myself and I really don’t want to end up eating a bunch of crap or getting in to a bad habit of snacking constantly. Breastfeeding burns so much calories and I have lost so much weight so I really need to up my calorie intake. Never thought I’d have this as a problem post partum! Haha
I love my daily shakes and look forward to them every day! Haha I love mixing things up and trying different flavours. Always have lots of frozen berries and fruit in the freezer that I can use. I love using a fresh banana as my base and then I just add whatever else I fancy😊
Made this one the other day and it was seriously so good!! One of my faves!
200ml plant milk
1 scoop protein powder (I used Revolution Foods Wild Berry flavoured powder)
Handful frozen strawberries
3 tbsp Peanut butter powder or normal PB
Topped with more frozen berries and cacao nibs (They are hiding under the berries)
Put everything in a blender and enjoy! Reminds me of a PB and jam sandwich!😍
Jack’s gone down to Bournemouth today And is staying until Friday to continue renovating our new flat, feeling a bit of separation anxiety! Definitely gonna miss him but I’m so excited for the works to be done do that we can finally move in and start our new chapter by the seaside!!😄

I would also like to share this amazing drink I had earlier today at a cafe! I have never had tea this way and I don’t know why cause this was amazing! Never a fan of herbal tea bags but having it fresh was so yum!! I need to buy stuff so I can start making this at home!😍
The sun is back, at least for today! London has been so rainy and super windy for the past week. I love going out for long walks with Winter but it’s not been possible with the crazy winds! The buggy almost blew over when I took her out at the start of the storm, really scared me so we have been stuck inside most of the week. But now we can finally get out and about properly again without worrying about getting blown away!
So today is St Patrick’s Day and last night I made a delicious spirulina protein shake! So in honour of the Irish I thought I’d share this green delicious shake with you all!🇮🇪
200ml plant milk
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I used Vega)
50g frozen mango
1 to 2 tsp spirulina powder
Put everything apart from the raspberries in a blender and blend! I top my shake with the frozen raspberries. I’m in love with frozen berries at the mo! So much cheaper than buying fresh and they are so delicious in anything from yogurt to porridge or even just to eat on their own!
I started my day with a protein peanut butter hot chocolate!😇
This was a little experiment that I tried the other day and it came out really tasty so I made it again today. The protein powder makes it extra thick and creamy! Makes it feel way more indulgent and rich than it actually is.
I was never really in to protein powder but after my pregnancy I lost so much weight due to breastfeeding and forgetting to eat cause I was so busy with little Winter. So I have started to drink daily protein shakes to up my calorie intake. I’m also trying to think of other fun things to use the powder for! Want to try and make some protein energy balls or similar at some point😊

Makes 1 large mug
450ml plant milk (I used Oatly barista)
10 gram vanilla protein powder (I used Vega protein which is vegan friendly)
2 tablespoons peanut butter powder (got mine from Hoosier Hill Farm on Amazon) or you can just use normal peanut butter!
2 teaspoons cocoa powder
Put every thing in a pan and heat while whisking. Enjoy!
