Semolina Porridge – My Childhood Favourite!

Another Monday and a new week! My husband is home today so we have had a nice family day together. Managed to watch a couple episodes of Tin Star even!! We have a very happy baby at the moment 😊

I started my day with something I have not had for a long time! My absolut childhood breakfast favourite – Semolina Porridge!! 😍

Semolina porridge is easy to make and you don’t really have to add any sugar cause semolina is quite sweet on it’s own. As a kid I used to just put loads of Apple puree on my porridge and that’s exactly what I did today😍

Recipe – 1 big portion!

  • 50g Semolina
  • 300ml plant milk
  • Topping of your choice

Put the milk and semolina in a pan and heat on low/medium heat. The trick here is to KEEP STIRRING! You don’t want a lumpy porridge believe me. It’s all about getting it real smooth 😊 cook until it’s thickened, the time can vary depending on the plant milk you use but I’d say between 7 and 10 minutes roughly.

Top with anything you like! I used Bionas Apple puree which is 100% Apple and nothing else, really yummy!

Yum yum yum! Need to make it more often!
